Alecia stood in her room, her suitcase splayed open on the bed while she surveyed its contents. Her dark eyes flickered over the essentials she had carefully chosen for the journey into the Icelandic wilderness: a sturdy pair of hiking boots, warm clothing, and a reliable flashlight.
